Ram Hottie/ weird day at work...
Yesturday I went to Katie Downs with Megs, we had a grand time of beer and pizza, the weather was perfect and Ruston was popping so we head down to the Ram. We're there so often the bouncer knows us and waves us over to him by the DJ. The DJ starts talking to us, and asks how tall I am, and I reply 5'10". He says that theyre looking for another Ram hottie... Asked me if I can work TUe and Fri nights, I can so I agree. I'll make 50 bux a night. Going around promoting events and hanging out at the ram, what I do anyways. Weird... Friday I have to get pics taken for the web site, weird again..
So work, WOW what a weird day. It started off with the update running way behind and Dan being in a good mood. Shit didnt really get too weird until I had to take conference call, which this time I was more prepared for and didnt sound like an ass. Though I told Dan we are supposed to steam the shirts before they go out so he puts them in the steamer and it starts to leak all over the floor. I tell dave this and tell him dan says were going to have to use the hand steamer, and Dave was like see Michelle your not prepared for this you're not supposed to use the big steamer but always the hand steamer, Dan just got u into trouble. So conference call goes on and Dave quizzes me more then anyone else, because the rest of the people there are either store managers or assistant store managers and I'm the only MIT. THat lasts an hour. In this time shipment isnt getting done because the kids are still finishing the update, Dan leaves, and the steamer continues to flood the back room. An hour goes by and the call is over, thank God. So I go back and find an impact girl desperately trying to soak up the water, all my brand reps are goofing off, and I have to figure out how to stop the water. Plus we got 23 boxes of shipment in and only one kid was working on it. So I have about 6 kids buggin the shit outta me for this or that, I've had two no shows and a flood thats starting to go down the hallway and towards lots of clothing boxes. I call dan, "That sux, I turned it off just soak up the water. That shit is hella funny." I then was listening to the sounds it was making and I was like guys do you hear that sound it sounds like water gushing? So i follow the sound and look in the back, thinking theres gotta be an emergency turn off valve or something. I pull a ton of clothes away and see water gushing out, OH SHIT! Then I saw a red lever and I was like dude Joe what do u think that is, and he's like oh it's probably to turn off the water. So we pull it and amazingly it turns off. I was really pissed off, and stressed out, the store was outta control and my stockroom wasnt running smoothly, but still it was pretty funny... I eventually got the store back under control, my brand reps closed early, and started helping with shipment, it's still not done, and we left boxes because it was already a half hour after we were supposed to be out. Oh well Dan left the trash for me today and didnt finish the update, and I'll probably be at wild waves tomorrow so no one will find me ...
